On July 11, 2025, Nostrum Laboratories, Inc. issued a nationwide voluntary recall of all lots for sucralfate 1g tablets. The recall was initiated because the company is closing its business and can no longer perform the necessary safety and quality checks to ensure the medication is safe and effective. Sucralfate is commonly used to treat and prevent ulcers in the stomach and intestines. Patients are advised to stop using the affected product, safely dispose of it and contact their pharmacy for a replacement. For more information on the recall, see here.
